At the invitation of President Armen Sarkissian, President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos will arrive to Armenia on an official visit on November 5. First Lady Vlassia Peltsemi will accompany Pavlopoulos on the trip.
Sarkissian and Pavlopoulos will hold a one-on-one meeting and then an expanded-format meeting with participation of delegations. The president s will then deliver statements for the press, Sarkissian’s Office said.
The Greek President will visit the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial in Yerevan and honor the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide in a wreath-laying ceremony. He will also tour the Armenian-Genocide Museum-Institute.
President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Speaker of Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan during the visit.
A meeting with Catholicos Garegin II at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiatsin is also planned.
Pavlopoulos will also visit the Matenadaran Scientific-Research Institute.
A meeting with the local Greek community is also planned.
