Famous Armenian painter Martiros Saryan was honored with a star in Rostov-on-Don, Russia.
The artist’s star was installed on the Alley of Stars days ago, Don-TR reported.
Around 5,000 people voted for the installation of Martiros Saryan’s star in the Russian city.
Saryan was born to an Armenian family in Nor Nakhijevan (now part of Rostov-on-Don). Although he lived most of his life in Armenia, the artist continued to participate in the cultural life of his hometown.
